Hockey Canada Registry Account Help

With the update of the New Hockey Canada Registry system, eHockey has been retired and eHockey functionality will now be located at its new home inside HCR 3.0 as of June 1st, 2021. The new Hockey Canada Registry is taking over for eHockey and everyone will need to create an account on the system in order to register for re-certification clinics and exams.

How To Create An Account In The Hockey Canada Registry

To create an account on the Hockey Canada Registry (Spordle) you will need to take the following steps:

1. Go to https://register.hockeycanada.ca/home
2. Click on Login in the top right corner to bring you to the following page.

3. Underneath the Login in button there will be a Sign Up option click on in to start the signup process:

4. Enter the email you wish to register with and click next.

5. Fill out the required information and click Sign up.

6. You will get a verification code sent to your email. This email will be from: no-reply-hcr@hockeycanada.ca. Once you enter the code you should be able to log in.

How to Link a Member in the Hockey Canada Registry

With the update of the New Hockey Canada Registry system, eHockey has been retired and eHockey functionality will now be located at its new home inside HCR 3.0 as of June 1st, 2021. To link a member to your Hockey Canada Registry account take the following steps:

1. Go to https://register.hockeycanada.ca/home and in the top right corner click on Login.

2. Login using your email and password. (Note: If you have not created an account in the Hockey Canada Registry you will need to do this)

3. Once you have logged in you will need to go to the top right corner click on the portrait image and click on my account.

4. Click on Link a Member.

5. Enter the first name, last name and date of birth of the Member you are trying to link to your account. You can also search by their HCR number if you already know it.

6. When you find the right profile click on Link this Member.

7. You will then be asked your relationship to the Member you are linking. If it yourself you are adding you will choose 'Self'. If you are adding your child to the account click on 'Parent'. Once you have selected the correct Relation click on Link member.

8. You have now Linked a member to your profile

How to View Your Background Check/Vulnerable Sector Check Expiry Dates

1. Go to https://register.hockeycanada.ca/home

2. Click on Login in the top right corner.

3. Once you have logged, click "Members" from the left-hand side of your dashboard screen.

4. On the Members screen make sure you are on the profile that you Linked (see How to Link a Member in the Hockey Canada Registry). You will see your status and expiry date in the badge below your age.

If you see that your CRC/VSC has expired or will expire before May 1st, 2024 please go to the resource page to get the letter to request a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check from your local police/RCMP department and submit it to your association RIC or zone director.

How To Reset Your Password For Hockey Canada Registry

1. Go to https://register.hockeycanada.ca/home
2. Click on Login in the top right corner to bring you to the following page.

2. Enter your email and click "Login". On the next screen, click the blue "Forgot Password" link.

3. On the pop up window, click "Send Email"

4. You will receive an email with a six digit code you will need to enter on the screen.

The email will come from "no-reply-hcr@hockeycanada.ca". If you don't receive it, make sure to check your junk folder and the spelling of your email on the screen.

5. Once you've correctly entered the code, you'll be able to set a new password for your account.
