Step 1: Register Your Account on the New Hockey Canada Registry System

With the update of the New Hockey Canada Registry system, eHockey has been retired and eHockey functionality will now be located at its new home inside HCR 3.0 as of June 1st, 2021. If you haven’t already done so, please create an Account in the new Hockey Canada Registry (HCR) system. This will be necessary in order for you to access the 2021 – 2022 Recertification online learning modules and exams.

If you need help on creating your new Hockey Canada Registry Account, please see here.

Step 2: Make Sure You Have A Current Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Screening Check

On Hockey Canada Registry (HCR) account, please ensure that your profile reflects that a current Criminal Record Check or Vulnerable Sector Screening Check (CRC/VSC) is on file. Please ensure it is valid until May 1, 2024. If it is not, you must obtain and submit a new Criminal Record Check or Vulnerable Sector Screening Check to your RIC (Association or Zone Level) before you will be allowed to complete any assignments. You can find the letter you will need to take to your local police/RCMP station here. If you are from the Moncton area (Codiac RCMP), you must contact Jamie Trenholm for a specific letter for the Codiac RCMP detachment.

Step 3: Register For A Recert Clinic

This season, we are hosting in person clinics. You MUST attend one of these clinics in order to become a registered official.

*Please note the $20 clinic fee in the description. This needs to be brought to the clinic.
*Please remember to sign up under the profile that will be taking the course using your HCR account (Step 2).
*Parents be sure to sign up under your son/daughter’s profile. See here for help on linking HCR profiles.
*Please note if you are a Senior official, you may search for clinics using the Qualification “*Official – Re-cert” or speak with your local RIC for a direct link for sign up.

Step 4: Attend Your Clinic and Complete Your Exam

On the date/time of your clinic, please make sure you are on time for the start of clinic, 10 minutes early is appreciated so all clinics can start on time. Please make sure you bring with a pen and paper. As part of the clinic you will complete your certification exam.

Step 5: Submit Any Necessary Information To Your RIC/Make Sure They Have Your Contact Information – Deadline Within 2 Weeks of Attending Your Clinic

You must have all necessary addtional information like your CRC/VSC submitted to your local association RIC within 2 weeks of attending your recert clinic. Please note that you cannot participate in any games with an expire CRC/VSC. Make sure your local RIC has all the information they require.

Step 6: Make Sure You Have A NBHOA Goalline Account

We will be communicating through Goalline emails and our website more this season, so make sure you have an account! Our NBHOA Goalline is also where we will be working to have all officials submit their GIRs and access schedules/assignments. If you don’t have an account or need to regain access to your account, see more information here.
